NEW STAFF OFFICER I (LOGISTICS) ASSUMES DUTIES

Lieutenant Colonel M K A D Chandramal assumed office as the 5th Staff Officer I (Logistics) of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) on 13 April 2020 during a brief ceremony at the VIR Regimental Headquarters, Boyagane, Kurunegala.

Lieutenant Colonel M K A D Chandramal was born on 06 April 1975 and completed his school education from St. Aloysius College, Galle. He joined the Sri Lanka Army as an Officer Cadet on 27 January 1995 to the Officer Cadet Intake 42. After successful completion of the basic military training, he was commissioned in the rank of Second Lieutenant on 21 December 1996. He has held many command appointments in unit line such as Platoon Commander, Company Commander, Second in Command and commanded the 6th Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
