NEW MAIN GATE AND “WIRU PAWURA” OF 4 VIR WERE CEREMONIALLY OPENED

On invitation of the Commanding Officer 4th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Major H G S Gallage psc, Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Mullaitivu) and Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Major General S P K A Pilapitiya RWP RSP USP made formal visit to 4th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 27 July 2021 in parallel with battalion 32nd Anniversary. During his visit the newly constructed main gate and the War Heroes’ memorial ''Wiru Pawura'' were unveiled and the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Mullaitivu) addressed Officers and Other Ranks during the visit. General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division Major General W H K S Peris RWP RSP USP ndu, Principal Staff Officer - HQ SLAVF, Brig S R B Aluwihare RWP RSP ndu psc, Centre Commandant of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Brigadier W S N Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, Commander 523 Infantry Brigade, S B W M N Samaradiwakara RSP USP and Senior VIR Officers participated to this event. These notable events were organized by adhering all the health guidelines stipulated by the government to prevent COVID - 19 outbreak.
