NEW DEPUTY CENTRE COMMANDANT ASSUMES OFFICE

Colonel H P D S Gunawardane RSP assumed the office as the 14th Deputy Centre Commandant of Regimental Centre Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 22 December 2023 during a brief ceremony at the VIR Regimental Headquarters, Boyagane, Kurunegala.

Colonel Sanjeewa Gunawardane was enlisted to Sri Lanka Army Regular Force on 27 October 1994 and followed the basic military training as an Officer Cadet with Intake PMA 8. After completion of training successfully he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 11 April 1995 and posted to the 5th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
