NEW DEPUTY CENTRE COMMANDANT ASSUMES DUTIES

Colonel P G C S Gallage RWP RSP assumed the office as the 13th Deputy Centre Commandant of Regimental Centre Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 05 December 2022 during a brief ceremony at the VIR Regimental Headquarters, Boyagane, Kurunegala.

Colonel Shrinath Gallage was enlisted to Sri Lanka Army Regular Force on 31 December 1993 and followed the basic military training as an Officer Cadet with Intake SC 8. After completion of training successfully he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 17 June 1995 and posted to the 1st Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

Colonel Shrinath Gallage has held variety of specific operational, administrative and command appointments. Namely:

Second in Command - 1st Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment

General Staff Officer I (Operations) - 12 Infantry Division

Staff Officer I - Laya Leasure Kukuleganga

Senior Security Coordinating Officer - Senior Security Coordinating Office - Army Headquarters
