Inter battalion Boxing meet was held at the gymnasium of Regimental Headhunters Boyagane Kurunegala on 26 October 2018. Deputy chief of staff / Colonel of the regiment Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Maj Gen A Kariyakarawana USP ndc grace the event as the chief guest and 24th battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment organized the meet this time.
24th Battalion shines their name as the champions of 2018 Vijayabahu Boxing meet and they won 06 Gold 01 Silver and 01 Bronze medals. Winning 01 Gold 01 Silver 05 Bronze medals 20 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment gave a superior encounter to Champions and finally they had to satisfied as the Runners up at the end of the day.
The Best Boxer of the 2018 won by S/531563 Pte Jayathissa ayguc 24 VIR and the Best Looser S/2076597 Pte Rathnayake 8 VIR. End of the day Vijayabahu Boxers highlighted their talents and those will be a good perceive of the Dominating our Boxers in SL Army Boxing ring in near future.
