Under the instructions given by the Ministry of Defence and Adjutant General Branch Sri Lanka Army Headquarters, under the guidance of Director General General Staff Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and Colonel of the Regiment Major General Nishantha Manage, and direct supervision of Regimental Centre Commandant Brigadier Prabath Kodithuwakku, Regimental Centre VIR commenced processing of absent soldiers on 15 November 2022. By the end of the first day of the programme paperworks of 78 absent soldiers were processed at the Regimental Centre. This programme is conducted while adhering all the health precautions and guidelines stipulated to prevent COVID-19 outbreak.
