Mrs. Kumudu Manage, President of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch and Secretary, Mrs. Nadeera Wijekoon with the “Niwahana” Society of Kandy, conducted a family counselling lectures session coincided with the Wednesday training day for the Officers and Other Ranks serving in Vijayabahu Infantry Regimental Centre on 05 January 2022 at the Archers Cinema, under the patronage of Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Major General Nishantha Manage and Centre Commandant Brigadier Prabath Kodituwakku.
In that, a lecture on Internet Related Crimes was conducted by Mrs. Kalani Bandara, Manager of “Niwahana” Society of Kandy. Then lectures on Addicted to Alcohol and Drugs, and Sexually Transmitted Deceases were respectively conducted by Dr. KWN Kalyanathissa, Kandy Teaching Hospital and Dr. Amali Jayasinghe, Kandy Teaching Hospital.
Leaving an indelible gesture in the premises as well as the day’s final showcase, guest speakers were commended by a symbolic mementoes by Brigadier Prabath Kodituwakku, Centre Commandant, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, on their commitment in this act on behalf their busy schedules.
Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Regimental Staff Officers with Regimental Headquarter Battalion, 6th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and Regiment troops were at the audience to witness these timely valuable lectures.
