EX SERVICEMEN ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WAS HELD AT SALUTE RECEPTION HALL
Ex Servicemen Annual General Meeting was held at the Salute Reception hall on 4th March 2017. More than 600 members were participated to the meeting this time. Col of the Regiment Maj Gen A Kariyakarawana USP ndu grace the event as the chief guest. During the speech conducted by Col of the Regiment highlighted the how much important the service rendered by retired Officers, senior NCOs NCOs and ORs for the betterment of the Regiment. Col of the Regiment reminded the sacrifices have done to keep flag flying of the by fallen war heroes and disable soldiers also.\r\n President of the Ex Servicemen Association Maj Gen (Retd ) DU Munasinghe RWP RSP handed over his appointment to the Maj Gen (Retd) RV Samarathunga RWP RSP. After assumed the duties by newly appointed president Maj Gen (Retd) RV Samarathunga RWP RSP delivered a speech to give an idea about his future plans as the president of the Ex Servicemen association. During the speech he requested support from all to make his vision success for the benefits of the Ex servicemen society as well as the Regiment.\r\nThe event was concluded with a lunch which organized by the Regimental Headquarters for the gathered veteran members and it was a time that everybody were share their past memories. \r\n
