A DIFFERENTLY ABLE SOLDIER BENEFITTED BY VIR SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

As a goodwill and charity, the Seva Vanitha Branch of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment constructed a complete wash room with an overhead tank and a catch pit to a differently able soldier S/512552 Sgt Disanayake DMTL of 8 VIR by the sponsorship of two philanthropists, Mr. Inoth Fernando and Mr. Viren Fernando (Two brothers of the same family who are pilots in profession) It was coordinated by Colonel Dilupa Bandra RWP RSP USP psc under the patronage of Mrs Avanthi Pilapitiya the president of Seva Vnitha branch of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

The philanthropists, The president with few senior members of the Seva Vanitha branch, Colonel Dilupa Bandra RWP RSP USP psc, The Commanding Officer of the Headquarter Battalion, The coordinating officer of the Sewa Vanitha branch and few other officers’ were among the participants of the event of handing over the newly constructed and completed wash room on 07 February 2021 at Polpithigama. Furthermore pair of crutches and a wheelchair was also donated to Sgt Disanayaka DMTL on the same day by the President and other members of the VIR Seva Vanitha branch.
