Under the direct guidance of the Regimental Centre Commandant and under supervision and coordination of the 6th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, the newly upgraded “Archers Mini Super” shopping centre built according to modern standards was ceremonially declared open by the Director General General Staff Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and Colonel of the Regiment of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Major General Nishantha Manage on 01 October 2022 at Regimental Centre premises.
This will exceedingly benefited not only for the soldiers but also for the general public living suburb to the camp premises to fulfil their daily grocery requirements with ease and comfort.
Senior officers including Director General General Staff Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and Colonel of the Regiment of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Major General Nishantha Manage, Director General General Staff of Office of Chief of Defence Staff Major General Rohitha Aluvihare, The Centre Commandant, senior officers and Other Ranks of VIR regimental centre participated for this event. This notable event was organized by adhering all the health guidelines stipulated by the government to prevent COVID - 19 outbreak.
