Inmates at Mallawapitiya Elders’ Home were hosted to a delicious lunch by Officers and Other Ranks of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 14 March 2019 on account of its 29th anniversary.
55 adults enjoyed the lunch and interacted with the troops while exchanging their good old memories. Some parents emotionally expressed their memories with the visitors treating them like their own sons and daughters.
The programme ended with Calypso music which were played by troops of the Regimental Centre Calypso team attracting the inmates to entertain.
Deputy Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the regimental staff participated in this meritorious event.
