Under the house construction project of the Security Force Headquarters (Mullaittivu), a completed house was handed over to a needy family in Oddusuddan Divisional Secretariat area on 09 November 2022, during a simple house warming ceremony.
Troops of 23rd Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the command of 642 Infantry Brigade contributed to the construction of this house with the help of funds donated by Batch - 80 (Tamil Medium) students of Royal College Colombo.
The Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Mullaittivu), Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe together with General Officer Commanding 64 Infantry Division, Major General Nissanka Eriyagama graced the house warming ceremony.
Under the close supervision and coordination of the Commander 642 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Medhanka Alwis and Commanding Officer 23rd Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Senarath Bandara, troops of 23 VIR provided the required manpower for the construction work of this project.
