23 VIR TROOPS CAPTURES ILLEGALLY TRANSPORTING TEAK WOOD

Troops of 23rd Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (23 VIR), of the 642 Brigade under the 64 Division, apprehended a Canter Lorry which illegally transporting Teak wood logs at a snap road block established at Mullaitivu, Mankulam A-34 main road on 02 August 2022 morning.

Suspects were transporting 8 feet long 16 Teak Wood logs to Mullaitivu when they were nabbed. Apprehended Teak Wood and the vehicle were handed over to Mankulam Forest Officers for further investigations.
