Identifying the core reasons for the significance of regimental accounting, a Regimental Accounts Course was conducted and the first phase of the training programme was successfully concluded under the guidance of Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc - the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), on 29 December 2025 at the Headquarters, SLAVF.
The course commenced on 15 December 2025 and spanned over ten days (10), was thoughtfully designed with the primary objective of keeping track of a financial health and reliability of the respective working stations.
A homage is paid for Lieutenant Colonel J M A I Gunasekara- Staff Officer 1 (Audit) for being the resource person throughout the programme.
In recognition of commitment, participation and active engagement, participants were awarded with certificates as per the order of merit in the course of study. The certificate awarding ceremony was attended by Brigadier H A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc - Brigadier Administration, Colonel B C K Ferdinandez USP - Colonel Legal and Colonel S M A D S P W Jayasekara RSP - Colonel General Staff of the Headquarters, SLAVF.
An inspirational key note made by Brigadier H A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc, addressed the core insights of the scheduled programme. The senior officer highly acknowledged the presence and the effort that have been made by the participants, the General Staff Branch and the staff of the Headquarters, SLAVF urging to foster a culture of learning and excellence that contributes to creating a virtuous working phenomenon.
Marking the conclusion of a perceptive and enriching workshop, Colonel M G G W R Gamage- Colonel Training, SLAVF delivered the vote of thanks leaving a remark on future schedules for the forthcoming phase of the course.
