AWARENESS LECTURE ON THE SECURITY THROUGH DATA COMMUNICATION

The training day that entails all aspects of training disciplinary schedules, was successfully concluded under the instructions of Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc - the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 16 July 2025 at the Headquarters SLAVF.

The day’s programme precisely focused on providing an opportunity for all ranks to enhance their skills and knowledge relevant to the contemporary demands of their duties.

In light of this, a presentation with the theme "TETRA Handheld Radio" was unfolded to raise awareness of the audience. This digital trunked radio transceiver is utilized for professional mobile radio (PMR) communication, especially for emergency services, public safety groups, and other mission-critical users.

The lecture was conducted by Staff Sergeant Muthugala M A P D who belongs to the 10 th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (10 SLSC).

The programme was attended by senior officers, officers and other ranks of the Headquarters SLAVF. The day of training was closely supervised by Major General B M R J Bandara - the Deputy Commandant SLAVF and successfully administered by Colonel M G G W R Gamage - Colonel Training SLAVF.
