MAJOR GENERAL W P A D W NANAYAKKARA RSP VSV USP NDU VISITS THE 3RD (VOLUNTEER) BATTALION OF THE SRI LANKA SINHA REGIMENT

The 3 ^rd (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment dedicated for handling the internal security requirements in the hill country is a pioneering deployment in the Sri Lanka Army , and Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu- the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Forceand Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment visited the historical battalion on 22 and 23 August 2024.

The visit was primarily scheduled to witness the presentdelegations of the battalion. In the wake of the centerpiece in the day’s itinerary, the senior officer visited the construction site of the “A” Company in Piduruthalgala.

The senior officer was received by Major F J Samaranayaka RSP SLSR - the Commanding Officer of the battalion, and he was awarded with a guard turnout by the troops of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

The event scheduled with military formalities was unfolded to the honor of his arrival with the warmth of acceptance. In particular,discipline,integrity, commitment and leadership were spelled out by the senior officer as required imperatives to be painstakingly adhered as soldiers who bound by precise obligatory errands during the troop address.

Brigadier C S Thibbotuge, the Center Commandant of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Senior Officers and Officers presented the occasion.
