A SOLDIER BOUND BY THE CIVIL LAW

The stability and the consistency of the society are nurtured by the civil law of the country, and the structural frame work of a soldier in the context, was educated by way of an awareness programme under the directions of Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 21 August 2024 at the Multifunctional Hall.

The lecture was conducted by Major ST Ilesinghe who has been performing duties as the Staff Officer 2(Legal) in the Headquarters SLAVF. The senior officer who belongs to the General Service Corps of the Sri Lanka Army is a distinguished professional in his field of employability, and brought a comprehensive lecture on the establishment and civic legislations strictly obligated by the military personnel.

Varied circumstances experienced by the members who have been fastened by manacles of the law of civic were out lined broadly during the lecture. The awareness lecture was indeed a step of hand for being more mindful and disciplined in carrying out a successful military career expected by the establishment all the time.

The programme was conducted under the close supervision of Major General WGP Sisira Kumara RSP- the Deputy Commandant SLAVF,and a gathering of senior officers, officers and other ranks presented the occasion.
