MAJOR GENERAL THUSITHA SILVA KSP VISITS THE 3RD BATALION (3 SLNG) OF THE SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid a courtesy visit to the 3^rd Battalion of the Sri Lanka National Guard (3 SLNG) at Kawanthissapura on 04 April 2024.

Upon the arrival of the Deputy Commandant to the 3 SLNG, the Senior Officer was welcomed with a drive pass by the Commanding Officer of the 3 SLNG along with the Brigadier Coordinator and the Assistant Colonel Coordinator of the Security Forces Headquarters (Central), Colonel Coordinating Officer of the 12 Infantry Division and other Staff Officers of the Battalion.

After introducing the Officers and Senior Non-commissioned Officers to the Deputy Commandant, planting of a sapling in honour of the Senior Officer’s visit and posing for a group photograph were taken place as the scheduled formalities.

While addressing the troops, the Deputy Commandant emphasized on well integration of the functions in the Battalion in all aspects, and conveyed his gratitude and appreciation for shouldering the duties and responsibilities committed by the serving members with loyalty in order to place the battalion as they are at present. Also the mementoes were exchanged in compliment of marking the visit at the end of the troop address. The departure was manifested by placing a complimentary note of appreciation in the Visitors’ Book at the Commanding Officer’s Office.
