THE COURTESY VISIT OF THE DEPUTY COMMANDANT TO 2 VOLUNTEER BATTALION OF SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS.

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP- the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid a courtesy visit to the 2 Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps - 2(V) SLASC; at Katunayake on 15 March 2024

An elegant guard turnout was bestowed by the troops of the 2(V) SLASC in honour of the arrival of the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF to the camp premises and the visit was lined up with scheduled formalities which unfolded with planting of a sapling and posing for a group photograph. The visit was objected to determine a sense of enthusiasm and an encouragement for the troops that ensure well future incorporation of the battalion.

Addressing the troops, the Senior Officer elaborated his views on moving as a collective team over enhancement of the unit and conveyed his gratitude on successful integration of duties and responsibilities hitherto. Especially, the Senior Officer extended his gratitude on their commitment and loyalty in placing the Battalion in a higher standard.

An All Rank Tea was hosted by the CO and the Staff of the Battalion at the Museum Hall where the mementoes were exchanged in compliment of marking the visit and the departure was manifested by placing complimentary notes of appreciation in the Visitors’ Book at the CO’s Office.

The event was attended by Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Battalion.
