MAJOR GENERAL THUSITHA SILVA KSP VISITS THE VOLUNTEER BATTALIONS

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP- the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid courtesy visits to the 19 th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard on 06 March and 3 (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sinha Regiment on 07 March 2024.

The Deputy Commandant, SLAVF was warmly received by the respective battalions with an elegant Guard Turnout.

The visit objected to determine a sense of enthusiasm and an encouragement for the troops that ensure well future integration of the battalions. Inspirational remarks embedded stimulative thoughts and directives that decorate the essence of the battalions aptly reached out the forum. The senior officer extended his views on heading as a collective force for the enhancement of the establishment where the volunteering is gleamed in success. Especially, the senior officer extended his gratitude on their commitment and loyalty in placing the battalions as they are placed today.

The visits were lined up with scheduled formalities that unfolded with planting of saplings and other arrangements in honour of his visits. The senior officer placed complimentary notes of appreciation in the Visitors’ Books to mark his visits.

The event was attended by senior officers, officers and other ranks of the battalions.
