THE COURTESY VISIT OF THE DEPUTY COMMANDANT TO THE VOLUNTEER FORCE TRAINING SCHOOL

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant - Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid a courtesy visit to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (SLAVFTS) which is the Alma Mater by all its understanding and ever saluted and honoured for the unbound commitment and loyalty in quality enhancement of the Volunteer Force, on 28 February 2024.

The Deputy Commandant was warmly received by Colonel JAG Jayarathne KSP - Commandant SLAVFTS on his arrival to the Training School, and awarded a guard turn out by the troops of the SLAVFTS.

The visit compiled with military formalities were elegantly fulfilled, and the Deputy Commandant was enlightened on the prevailing academic and non academic functions of the training school by way of an elaborative briefing furnished by the Commandant SLAVFTS.

The occasion was coloured with an inspiring speech delivered by a trainee of the Functional English Course. In the wake of a moment of bliss over successful performances of its trainees on the stage, the senior officer awarded the certificates of National Vocational Qualification for the designated accomplishers of the Administrative Assistant Course.

A comprehensive remark was made by the senior officer for the troops gathered in the occasion and conveyed his gratitude and appreciation on the Commandant SLAVFTS and the staff for the utmost obligations that are being accomplished for the betterment of the entire Volunteer Force of the Sri Lanka Army as a training provider. Reaching to the culmination of the visit, the Deputy Commandant made a camp visit.

The occasion was attended by Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army.
