THE RETIREMENT THAT GRATIFIED EVER

The senior officers, Colonel H W K C Wadugoda and Colonel N M K Chandrakrishna RSP of the Volunteer Force in the Sri Lanka Army, were felicitated in honour of the active contribution and reasoning out the military career to the utmost interest of the Sri Lanka Army upon their retirement, at the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force on 01 December2023.

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force awarded the Senior Officers a special memento and a letter of appreciation for their commendable service to the Sri Lanka Army on behalf of Major General U D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

Colonel H W K C Wadugoda held the appointment of Colonel Coordinating Officer at 21 Infantry Division, Anuradhapura prior to his retirement as his very last career destination.The senior officer belongs to the Sri Lanka Signal Corps and above 33 years of active military service has been counted by his retirement. The senior officer is a recipient of many service awards in honour of his loyalty, commitment and integration at the presence of establishment during the war as well as other circumstances. The senior officer retired from the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force with effect from30 November 2023.

Colonel N M K Chandrakrishna RSP deserves the salutation of the establishment for his long years of dedicated service to the Sri Lanka Army. The senior officer belongs to the 12 (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA). The senior officer is an exemplification of a true military officer who bounded by the obligations of safeguarding this nation, and he has counted above 33 years of active military service. In honour of loyalty, commitment and bravery in the face of enemy, the senior officer has been awarded with gallantry and service medals. The senior officer retired from the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force with effect from 01 December 2023.

The Deputy Commandant and the gathering of officers conveyed their best regards on their retirement and wished for every success in their future endeavors.
