EXPERT GUIDANCE ON ASSORTMENT OF WELFARE BENEFITS

The last training day lecture of the month of November in the year 2023 was conducted with the guidance of Major General U D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force at the Multifunctional Hall on 29 November 2023.

The lecture was designed to educate volunteer troops on multitude of welfare facilities which provided by the Directorate of Welfare to the retired and the serving members and their family members, including loan facilities, legal funds, transport services, insurance facilities, death donations, holiday resorts (concessional prices), school admission for children of Army members and air ticket service.

The lecture was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel W S D Fernando Lsc ato who is performing duties as the Staff Officer 1 (Suwasahana Fund)of Directorate of Welfare. The Senior Officer belongs to Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, is a well experience military Officer who held numerous significant appointments in the Army.

During the lecture, he highlighted the advantages of continuing the membership of Suwasahana Fund after retirement and invited to remain the membership until the age of eighty from the gatherings. Further, he requested to relish the privileges whilst doing your supreme to the organization.

The programme of the day was underway with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Volunteer Force. A gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks presented the occasion.
