A HAPPY MARRIED LIFE THAT SCAFFOLDS SOLDIERING

The dawn of the month of November in the year 2023 was marked with the customary formalities of flag hoisting ceremony accomplished, and coincidentally a lecture on a contemporary relevance titled “A Happy Married Life” was conducted under the directions of Major General U D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc - the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force at the Multifunctional Hall on 01 November 2023.

The flag hoisting ceremony presided by Brigadier WGP Sisira Kumara RSP, the Inspector of Training of the Volunteer Force took place with the gathering of all officers and other ranks of the Headquarters.

The lecture, the succeeding event of the schedules was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel MGA Priyankara who has been performing duties as the Colonel Counsellor in the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. The senior officer belongs to National Cadet Corps of the Sri Lanka Army, is a professional military officer who serves as a counsellor in overcoming personal difficulties of the serving members in a confidential setting.

The thematic topic that constant caring, guidance, instructions and pragmatic involvements should be projected was successfully addressed during his address so that the audience to enlighten their knowledge and thereby definite subsequent benefits would be derived. The informative lecture was a step of hand for being more mindful and disciplined in carrying out a successful military career empowered by a happy married life.

The programmes of the day was underway with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Volunteer Force.
