The consecutive second day of the Championships of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force which is extremely prospect oriented and awaited by the sporting enthusiasts, reached to its pinnacle with four new meet records on Wednesday (20 September 2023 ) at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama.
The athletics championship was given the start on Tuesday (19 September 2023) and, athletes who represented regiments and unites of the Volunteer Force competed under track and field events exceptionally specified throughout the second day in raising the sports profile of the establishment with accolades and new meet records.
The competitions were steered with best regards and advice of Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP-the Commandant, Major General Thusitha Silva KSP- the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force along with the collaborative effort of the sports delegates.
