A WARM VISIT TO THE VOLUNTEER BATTALIONS ALONG WITH THE ADMINISTRATIVE INSPECTION AT THE SECURITY FORCES (EAST)

The administrative inspection that streamlines the establishment standards and sound managerial mechanism was performed by the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) as a key feature of the annual itinerary under the directions of Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP - the Commandant, SLAVF.

The inspection presided by Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - the Deputy Commandant was being carried out at the volunteer battalions deployed under the Security Forces (East) from 06 September 2023 to 08 September 2023. A group of staff officers and other ranks of the Headquarters, SLAVF attended the scheduled event.

The routine inspection mainly focused on conduct of regular administrative assignments, to bring accountability and efficiency in functioning of battalions under the area of responsibility of Security Forces (East). Besides the primary undertakings of administrative inspection,the Deputy Commandant paid a warm interaction with officers and other ranks of volunteer battalions with probable solutions and attention for their yearnings and burdens.

In the wake of commencement of the inspection, the Deputy Commandant addressed the troops spelling out the significance on examining the administration process of the battalions that assures the qualitative upliftment and the maintenance on par with the stipulated structures of the Sri Lanka Army.

The inspection proceedings were set out at all the volunteer battalions under command to the Security Forces (East) on 07 & 08 September 2023 respectively.

During this period, the Deputy Commandant paid visits to 3 Military Intelligence Corps, 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Signal Corps and 11(Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in gesture of courtesy and the Senior Officer was accorded with a Guard Turnout in honour of his arrival to the Battalions.

Major General M K U P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG - the Commander of the Security Forces (East), Divisional Commanders of 22, 23, & 24 Divisions, Senior Officers and Officers of the respective battalions paid their fullest collaboration in succeeding the event.
