A “DINERS’ CLUB” INTERACTION THEMED ON A CONTEMPORARY EXCHANGE OF VIEWS

A military stance mentored by its cultural and behavioural adaptation is immensely demanded in meeting with future establishment perspectives, and flourishing such a professional maturity, a “Diners’ Club” interaction which derives contemporary acceptance and fringe benefits for its members, took place on 07 July 2023 at the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) under the auspicious of Major General SUMN Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, the Commandant - SLAVF.

The Commandant graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, and formalities and proceedings in connection with the occasion were lined up with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP – Deputy Commandant, SLAVF. Early in the session, a warm welcome was extended on the scholarly gathering with a comprehensive opening remark made by Brigadier WGP Sisira Kumara RSP - Inspector of Training, SLAVF.

The veteran scholar Mr. Damith Pallewatte attended the occasion as the Guest Speaker and the session was treated on the topic, " the passive impact of economic crisis of Sri Lanka on cultural and behavioral changes of young generation and its effects on the military " which serves as a definite inscribe for an intellectual acumen where the gathering would experience a lasting change in behavior meant extensively in tutoring.

Mr. Damith Pallewatte is a professionally sound outfit of resource that possesses wealth of knowledge and experience on the subject discussion. In addition, he is a qualified Banking and Risk Management professional with over 28 years of experience and an expertise in his field of studies.

The interactive session followed a question-answer session where the participants were able to widen their horizons on issues and concerns.

In gratitude for affording a conducive and inclusive elaboration and his scholarly contribution in sharing knowledge and experience on the scheduled discussion, the Guest Speaker was awarded a memento by the Commandant as a token of appreciation.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Colonel TSBR Fernando - Colonel Training, SLAVF and extended his tribute of thanks for all the officers who handed in succeeding the event.

The occasion was attended by Principal Staff Officer, Brigadier Administration, Senior Officers and Officers of the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force along with the distinguished invitees who represented other establishments of the Sri Lanka Army.
