BRIGADIER BMRJ BANDARA TAKES OVER DUTIES AS THE BRIGADIER ADMINISTRATION OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE

Brigadier BMRJ Bandara who is a distinguished military personality and groomed by the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, assumed the office of Brigadier Administration of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 20 June 2023 at the Headquarters premises in the midst of blessings of Major General Nishantha Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, the Commandant, SLAVF heralding the courtesy of ardor towards camaraderie and fellowship.

He symbolized the acceptance of his new appointment placing his signature in an official document at the auspicious time amidst religious rituals and benedictions.

Brigadier Janith Bandarahas counted over 33 years of military service and in view of accomplishing errand of a serviceman- at - arms,the senior officer served the Special Forces (SF) which is an elite force of deterrence for the defence of the nation,showcasing his leadership of noteworthy.In the course of his military career, he executed duties and responsibilities on his assignments of command, staff and instructional appointments conferred to the respective ranks.Further, he was fortunate to command his mother unit and performs as a council member of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

Prior to the new receipt of the appointment, the Senior Officer had been serving as the Brigadier Coordinating Officer at the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna).

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, All Senior Officers and Officers attended the occasion and extended their warmth of compliments on his new appointment.
