AWARENESS ON FIRE SAFETY AND FIRE DRILLS

In order to implement the spirit of meeting on fire prevention and control of security of the establishment and daily routines of the members, an awareness on fire safety and fire drills were taken place under the directions of Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 26 April 2023 at the Multi-Functional Hall.

The lecture was conducted bythe first class fireman KDRD Gunawardhana and fireman MAKG Jayawardhana who represented the Fire Service Department of Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia.The programme was underway with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - the Deputy Commandant of the Volunteer Force

A series of activities held on fire safety, evacuation escape and firefighting drills, which were attended by a gathering of officers and other ranks enlightening them on field experience.

It is extremely expected that the awareness of members on safety and operation skills on fire distinguishing, so as to provide a protective working phenomenon titled as "safe camp" is a prime requirement.

The event was attended by a gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
