INSPIRATIONAL MOTIVATION FOR SOLDIERS

With a view of molding a soldier with pride, the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force organized a training day lecture on ‘Pride of Soldiers’ under the guideline of the Commandant SLAVF, Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu and the close supervision of the Deputy Commandant, SLAVF Major General Thusitha Silva KSP at the Multi-functional Hall on 8 March 2023.

The lecture was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel M G A Priyankara NCC who has been performing duties as the Officer Commanding of headquarter battalion of the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. He introduced a relaxation activity to imprint the essence of the lecture to the troops and he emphasized that a proper uniform adorned with accoutrements evokes immense pride for soldiers since the uniform denotes symbolic value of discipline, equality, respect and motivation to give their best.

Further, he highlighted that maintaining a good conduct in military and civil life is utmost importance for soldiering. As well, he pointed out that our prime responsibility is to upgrade the dignity of the Sri Lanka Army progressively.

A gathering of senior officers, officers and other ranks presented the lecture.
