AWARENESS LECTURE TO PREVENT DEATHS FROM ROAD ACCIDENTS

Ever increasing road accident is a heavy burden to a developing country like Sri Lanka; a pertinent lecture, themed on “Road Accidents and Road Discipline” organized by the Training Branch of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force under the guidelines of the Commandant, SLAVF, Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu on 08 February 2023 at Multifunctional Hall, SLAVF.

The timely important lecture was delivered by Officer in Charge (Traffic), Sub Inspector R.W.P. Gunadasa Rathnayaka serving at Police Station Kosgama.

Meanwhile his lecture, he highlighted that the increasing number of fatal road accidents in Sri Lanka at present seems to be causing a significant socio-economic catastrophe in the country and as citizens, we have a definite responsibility to prevent these unfortunate disasters by acting with discipline and responsibility.

The programme was closely supervised by the Deputy Commandant, SLAVF Major General Thusitha Silva KSP.A gathering of senior officers and other ranks attended the informative lecture.
