Strengthening the organizational objectives that is persistently compatible with the nation-building , Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force commenced the Workshop on ‘Skills Development & Innovations’- Phase 03, realizing the concept of innovation through recycling which draws innumerable benefits for its self erection, stepping another leap of triumph ahead on 19 December 2022.
The opening remarks were made by Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force during the inauguration programme and the Senior Officer put forward the concept of Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe RSP USP ndu, the Commandant of the Volunteer Force in continuing the workshop which promptly contributes in sustaining the quality enhancement of the establishment.
The programme serves as the launch pad for innovations through skills and knowledge development of the army personnel. The course of study consists of 560 periods with practical sessions and would cover streams of innovation under varied disciplines of Waste Management, Welding, Painting, and Carpentry which have been identified as potential skills attribute to achieving the desired outcomes.
A selected group will undergo the course during the stipulated period of the course and those who have acquired the expected development in skills based on the theoretical enlightenment would be awarded a recognized certificate at the termination of the study programme.
