SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH SRI LANKA INSURANCE CORPORATION

‘VIRUSAVIYA’ Insurance Package is rewarding claims to cover risk circumstances of Members of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. This package was initiated by Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force together with Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation since the year 2005 for the benefits of serving members of the Volunteer Force and their families.

This package provides an assortment of welfare benefits such as outdoor medical treatments, indoor medical treatments, surgeries, death, child birth and etc. Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation and Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force entered into an agreement on 21st November 2022 for the 18thconsecutive year at the Head Office of the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation pledging to provide with insurance benefits for Volunteer Force members during the period from 01stDecember 2022 to 30th November 2023.

Major General D G S Senerath Yapa RWP RSP ndu the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Mr. Ronald C Perera President’s Counsel and the Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation officially signed on behalf of the respective establishments.

The auspicious occasion was attended by Major General Thusitha Silva KSP the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Brigadier (Administration), Colonel Welfare,Mr Chandana L.Aluthgama, Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Ravi Medis,Head of Public Sector Services of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.

Later, as the final segment of the event, the Deputy Commandant together with officers of the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation posed for a group photograph.
