The Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force today (11 October 2022) conducted a welcome session for the newly passed out Quartermasters who followed the Quartermaster Course at Army Logistics School, Trincomalee.
Accordingly, ten probationary officers attended this address at the conference hall headquarters premises chaired by the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General Thusitha Silva KSP under the directions of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
The Quartermaster Commission Courses are designed and conducted by the Sri Lanka Army with the aim of transforming qualified and disciplined Warrant Officers as Quartermasters in order to fulfill the paucity of Quartermasters in the Sri Lanka Army. Accordingly, these Warrant Officers have passed out upon successful completion of Quartermaster Course 05 which was conducted from 17th July 2022 to 28th September 2022.
Later, as the final segment of the session, the Deputy Commandant together with the newly appointed Quartermasters posed for a group photograph.
Brigadier S A N J Ariyasena - Brigadier Logistics, Brigadier W G P Sisira Kumara RSP- Inspector of Training, Brigadier Administration - Brigadier M D B M S Jayamanne and other Senior Officers of the Volunteer Force attended the event.
