DAZZLING PATH TO THE GLORY AT THE DUBAI 2021 WORLD PARA ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX - 12TH FAZZA INTERNATIONAL PARA ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Gratifying the organizational prospects, this land blessed and honored with much awaited achievement in the Men’s Jawline Throw - F 46.

S/5D2673 Corporal Ekanayake KGG of the Sri Lanka Army Light Infantry who represented the team of the Regimental Headquarters Battalion conferred with the Silver Medal in the event of Men’s Jawline Throw - F 46 on 13 February 2021 in Dubai UAE at the 12th International Open Athletics Meeting/Grand Prix.

In recognition of his achievement, he was awarded with a cash prize worth of Rs.50000.00 by Major General CD Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 24 January 2022 at the Headquarters premises. The occasion was attended by Major General JDCG Jayasinghe KSV KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Senior Officers and Officers.

The financial grant was provided in accord with the constitution of the Sports Fund of the Volunteer Force and this reward is a tribute for his effort, dedication, and commitment that count innumerable worthiness to this mother land.

All the officers presented the occasion extended their salutation and the good gesture for earning honour and fame to the country as well as the establishment. Further, they paid their gratitude for accomplishing the liabilities vested on the role of an athlete of the Sri Lanka Army.
