The Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG paid a formal visit to the 2 nd Battalion Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) on 21 June 2021.The Commandant was received by Major RAAW Wijayasinghe SLAMC the Commanding Officer and all the distinguished gathering integrated with the rest of the formalities structured for the event.
Providing a comfortable array of phenomenal compatibility to the occasion, the Commanding Officer of the Battalion delivered a comprehensive account on the 2 nd Battalion SLAMC. Especially, the Commanding Officer emphasized on the significance of the role and task assigned to the SLAMC as a whole and mentioned of its evolution and stance hitherto under limited physical resources. Further, it was exquisitely highlighted on the present establishment and its location as a matter of fact for the smooth functioning of the SLAMC.
The Commandant had a formal visit at the camp premises. Also, he made a cordial interaction and addressed the gathering profusely pursuant to the administration and structural organization of the 2 nd Battalion of the SLAMC. Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda furnished with approachable instructions on the development and upgradation of identified deformations which energize the prevailing process of the function of the Battalion.
Major General JDCG Jayasinghe KSV KSP - the Deputy Commandant SLAVF, Brigadier WPR Wijerathna - Brigadier Administration, Brigadier SA Pathirana RSP - Brigadier Logistics SLAVF, Brigadier DHKS Wijeratne SFHQ (West), and senior officers represented the SLAMC Brigadier P G Wickramasooriya, Brigadier PTR Makuloluwa, Colonel BL Ranasinghe KSP, Colonel A Balasooriya, Lieutenant Colonel W T T De Silva and other senior officers attended the occasion.
