INAUGURATION OF THE COORDINATING OFFICE OF SRI LANKA ARMY RIFLE CORPS AND SRI LANKA ARMY PIONEER CORPS

Marking a novel chapter in the history of Sri Lanka Army Rifle Corps and Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps, the newly established Coordinating Office of SLRC and SLAPC was ceremonially inaugurated with the precedence of Major General J D C G Jayasinghe KSV KSP the Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 11 February 2021.

He was accorded a very warm reception upon his arrival to the premises by Colonel I D D Fernando and Colonel R M H Jayathissa the Commanding Officers of the SLRC and SLAPC.

Amidst the blessings on Maha Sangha, Colonel I D D Fernando who was appointed as the first Coordinating Officer of the Coordinating Office of SLRC and SLAPC assumed his duties at the auspicious time by placing his signature on an official document.

Afterwards, Deputy Commandant addressed the troops of the respective battalions and posed for a group photograph with the all Officers present.

Colonel Training of the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Colonel W M D S K Gunawardena RSP KSP along with other Senior Officers participated in this occasion.
