CERTIFICATE AWARDING FOR THE BEST WRITERS

Officers and Other Ranks who were selected as the best writers of the essay competition coincide with the publication of “SLAVF Beyond 2020”of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force were awarded appreciation certificates on 23 June 2020.

Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc and Deputy Commandant SLAVF Major General K P Nugegoda RWP RSP awarded appreciation certificates for the winners.

“SLAVF Beyond 2020”, the reference material and suggestions to be adhered to open a novel chapter of the organization is a remarkable publication which will guide the future descendants of the Volunteer Force. Accordingly, an open forum was created for valuable views of Officers as well as Other Ranks who build the stem of the organization and writers among them got a splendid opportunity to compose their compositions.

At this occasion, Major General H J S Gunawardena was awarded an Album in retrospect his tenure which exemplified an extraordinary leadership and significant approaches in the Headquarters as Commandant SLAVF by Major General K P Nugegoda RWP RSP.

Principal Staff Officer Brigadier K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and other Senior Officers of SLAVF attended the occasion following the health directives issued for COVID 19.
