A ZESTFUL INITIATION; A FRUITFUL QUEST

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force has been taking its direction for its distinctive identification of volunteering with an inspirational strive under the auspicious of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the incumbent Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, and a progressive review for working days past was conducted by Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 25 October 2022 for the fourth week training day programme of the month at the MultiFunctional Hall, Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

The occasion was lined up with a recollection of previous working days aligned with the “Way Forward” of the Volunteer Force and the events under diverse thematic schedules of the Commandant, and a comprehensive review on undertakings was made by the Deputy Commandant. Especially, the progression achieved by the establishment hitherto was appraised and extended his gratification for the commitment made by each and every institution of the Headquarters which inspires the entire establishment.

Further, the Senior Officer spelt out on the enthusiasm and inspiration that need to be cultivated in realizing the expected future objectives of the Volunteer Force and emphasized on active engagement in assigned duties and responsibilities vested in each shoulder adhering to the conceptual frame work in comprehending the visionary plan of action of the Commandant of the Volunteer Force.

The occasion was attended by All the Ranks of the Volunteer Force.
