WARRANT OFFICER 1 LVSS WIJESUNDARA HONOURED BY THE VOLUNTEER FORCE

The Volunteer Force of the Sri Lanka Army paid its honour and tribute for Warrant Officer 1 LVSS Wijesundara of the 11 (Volunteer) the Gajaba Regiment at the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force on 25 July 2024 upon his retirement. He was felicitated by awarding a farewell parade accorded by the troops of the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force under the directions of Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

This non-commissioned officer succeeded the appointment of Regimental Sergeant Major of the Headquarters SLAVF and the respective undertakings were carried out efficiently leaving a lasting impression for his subordinates during the tenure from 08 June 2023 to 25 July 2024.

The Warrant Officer attended in farewell formalities and he handed over the duties for the successor: Warrant Officer 1 GGDMP Rathnayake of the 5 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Artillery.

Warrant Officer 1 LVSS Wijesundara joined the Volunteer Force of the Sri Lanka Army and has counted above 22 years of active service in the Sri Lanka Army.The non-commissioned officer held a distinguished military career where his capacities and skills were proven during his assignments of operational and non-operational duties.

This non-commissioned officer deserves the salutation of the nation for his commitment, loyalty and integration for the Sri Lanka Army.
