VOLUNTEER FORCE GIVES AWAY RS 25,000.00 WORTH OF FINANCIAL GRANTS TO A STUDENT

Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force grants donations to the students of fallen and serving members of the establishment and civil staff attached to the Volunteer Force, with the intention of enhancing their education.

Major General C D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force granted a financial award worth of Rs 25,000.00 to a beneficiary at the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force on 01 April 2022.

The recipient whose father was a retired Warrant Officer and rendered outstanding service to the Sri Lanka Army, has been selected for the Faculty of Medicine ranking in 10th place in the district where he sat for the General Certificate of Advanced Level examination.

The commandant extended his pleasure and blessings for his tertiary education which will be initiated in the future. The educational award was funded by the members of the Volunteer Force through the dividends generated from the investments made for the welfare
