VOLUNTEER FORCE BIDS ADIEU TO THE OUTGOING COMMNADANT MAJOR GENERAL S U M N MANAGE WWV RWP RSP psc

Having accomplished a remarkable tenure as the 51^st successor in the office of the Commandant, Major General S U M N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc relinquished his duties on 16^th August 2023 at the Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) in the midst of series of military honours.

The Commandant was received by the Principal Staff Officer, Coordinating Officer - Sri Lanka Rifle Corps and Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps and the Commanding Officer of Headquarters Battalion of the Volunteer Force, and customary formalities observed in connection with the termination of office, commenced with the reviewing of Guard Turnout accorded to the outgoing Commandant on his arrival to the camp premises.

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force received the outgoing Commandant and ushered him to the saluting dais to receive the Guard of Honour awarded by the troops of Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps amidst melodies hummed for patriotism ever saluted.

The troop address was taken place following the formal events, and the Commandant expressed his sincere gratitude on cooperation and active integration in realizing the expected objectives throughout the days of very defined for All Ranks of the Volunteer Force. It was flooded extreme pleasure and satisfaction for the wealth of volunteering, he had possessed, and made a prospective call on the audience for holding it in hands preserving the decorum of the Volunteer Force.

The proceedings of the day reached the culmination with the departure of the outgoing Commandant amidst good-bye cheers of the Officers and Other Ranks who street lined on both sides of the road leading to the Main Gate.
