TRAINING DAY PROGRAMMES, THE SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE

Prioritizing behavior, conduct and smart attire which are considered as primary pillars adorn the personality of a soldier, the training day programme was scheduled under the directions of Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 10 May 2023 at the Multi-Functional Hall.

The lecture was conducted by Warrant Officer 1 PRMMB Pussalamankada, Regimental Sergeant Major of the Volunteer Force Training School, Diyatalawa and the programme got under way with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF.

Following the lecture, the gathering of participants integrated with awareness programmes organized by the Directorate of Psychological Operations at the Army Physical Training School with the collaboration of Security Force Headquarters(West) on the topic of “the aspect of law in psychological perspective and a mind of disciplined to a happy life” by way of the zoom technology.

The lectures were scheduled on the contemporary significance for a resolute existence of a civil and military career and the first session, was conducted by Ms. Ama Dissanayake, the National Trainer & Lecturer in Positive Thinking, Stress Managing on the theme of “a mind of disciplined leads to a happy life”. The troops received the opportunity for an awareness on the matters of law that adversely impact the personal and military life and procedural adherence on certain concerns in legal perspective during the second session, and it was delivered by a renowned lawyer Medha De Alwis who is Attorney at Law, Notary Public.

The day which was fruitfully framed on the thematic awareness that would mould a personality of a soldier disciplined by a mind of well trained and powered by all its positive strives, was successfully concluded.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the sessions.
