STEPPING THROUGH THE WAY FORWARD OF THE VOLUNTEER FORCE

Thirty-Seven (37) Professionals who have excelled in varied streams, joined hands with the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force as Professional Officer Cadets strengthening the Green Concept that is to be realized under way forward of the Sri Lanka Army.

The Professional Officer Cadets underwent the Military Orientation Programme at the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa for a period of six (06) months acquiring skills and subject knowledge as per the training scheduled.

The Military Orientation Programme was declared terminated with an elegant Certificate Awarding Ceremony headed by Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP USP ndu psc, the Commandant of the SLMA on 23rd June 2022.

The Professional Officers Cadets whom were groomed to be Probationary Officers, reached the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 25th June 2022. On the instructions of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Probationary Officers were warmly received by Colonel KTH Haripriya KSP, the Colonel Training of the Volunteer Force at the Headquarters premises, and a comprehensive awareness was made with respect to future adaptations in the respective working stations and career progression in the Sri Lanka Army.

Especially, they were explained the significance of the opportunity rarely received to pursue a prestigious career in the Sri Lanka Army while inspiring them to be in their military service in streamlining the national endeavour, the Green Concept that has to be accomplished on this nation behalf.

Reaching the culmination of a fruitful endeavor, they set off for taking over their duties and responsibilities vested.
