SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE SALUTES BRIGADIER NDP JAYATILAKA ON THE EVE OF RETIREMENT

Brigadier NDP Jayatilaka , Brigadier Coordinating, Security Force Headquarters (Central) was felicitated in honour of his service rendered to the Sri Lanka Army at the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 24 February 2022.

The Senior Officer was awarded special mementos by Major General CD Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force in appreciation of his commendable service to the Sri Lanka Army. The Commandant paid his gratitude to the outgoing Senior Officer, Brigadier Nalin Jayatilaka, and also reminisced the memories of his professional undertakings and his allegiance to the military career.

The Senior Officer enlisted in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 29 June 1987 with the Volunteer Intake 7. Upon commissioning in the rank of Second Lieutenant on 12 December 1987, he was posted to the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC).

The Senior Officer was promoted to the rank of Brigadier with effect from 07 April 2021, and he will retire after an exceptional service to this land as well as the Sri Lanka Army with effect from 28 February 2022. He is an exemplary personality who obliged to his assignments of liabilities beyond the expectations of the organization.

In honour of his distinguished service throughout the various phases of his military career, the Senior Officer has been awarded gallantry medals.

The Commandant congratulated him on retirement and extended his wishes for every success in his future endeavors.
