SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE LAUNCHES THE OFFICER CAREER PLANNING SYSTEM

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force introduced an Officer Career Planning System asa software solutionon the conceptual initiative of Major General Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.The Officer Career Planning System was designed and developed by Directorate of Information Technology in the Sri Lanka Army. Following a series of procedural and technological accomplishments, the Commandant launched the Officer Career Planning System at the Conference Hall, Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 29 November 2022.

The Officer Career Planning System is an experimental computer-aided system designed to assist in the implementation of the Officer’s Career Planning. This system is a web based system and can access via the Army network. The information of the officer’s career progression is provided on one page and it facilitates with all the necessary details of the officer in the system inserting, updating, and searching. Further, it supports as a visual decision making software.

Apart from the above, the Officer Career Planning System will support to provide details on the enlistment, promotion examinations, career courses, career appointments where the officer will be placed in his future tenures.

The Officer Career Planning System is launchedas an inauguration system, andthis system will become a very attractive and user friendly decision making supportive system in future.

Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the occasion. Brigadier Coordinating Officers and Colonel Coordinating Officers in the Volunteer Battalions joined the session through zoom conferencing.
