SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE HEADQUARTERS DECLARES OPEN AN INDOOR BADMINTON STADIUM

A newly constructed Indoor Badminton Stadium at headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer force (SLAVF) was declared open by Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu - the Commandant together with Major General Thusitha Silva KSP - the Deputy Commandant on 17th April 2024, with the presence of an official gathering who witnessed the occasion amidst gestures of compliments.

The Commandant was invited to unveil the plaque of the Indoor Badminton Stadium and the maiden serve was hit by him to mark the official inauguration and the availability for use. The bestowing the possession of an Indoor Badminton Stadium to all serving members of SLAVF is a realization of a long felt facility which promotes multiple health benefits and longevity.

The constructions were done with the labour contributions of the troops in Garrison Engineer, Kosgama and 10 (Volunteer) Engineer Services Regiment.

Brigadier M M Salwatura RWP RSP USP - Principal Staff Officer, Brigadier W G P Sisira Kumara RSP- Inspector of Training and Brigadier B M R J Bandara - Brigadier Administration along with other Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of SLAVF were attend for the occasion.
