A SOLDIER BOUNDED BY THE MILITARY LAW

The day of training in the week was lined up with an awareness lecture on “ The Military Law/ Conduct Prejudicial to Military Law and the Law of Criminal and Punishments” under the directions of Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 04 Sep 2024 at the Multifunctional Hall.

The lecture was conducted by Major M S Jayawickrama who has been performing duties as the Staff Officer 2(Legal) in the Headquarters SLAVF. The senior officer who belongs to the General Service Corps of the Sri Lanka Army is a distinguished professional in his field of employability, and brought a comprehensive lecture on the establishment legislations strictly obligated by the military personnel.

The maintenance of discipline is concerned as a primary requirement in the armed forces, and a soldier who is bound by the laws of military and civil is moulded for building a qualitative combat power. The lecture aimed at educating the military law where a soldier is guided to step on the way to a successful military destination that is challenged and natured with vulnerable contexts.

The scheduled programme was closely supervised by Major General W G P Sisira Kumara RSP - the Deputy Commandant SLAVF,and a gathering of senior officers, officers and other ranks presented the occasion.
