On account of the third training day programme on the month, a lecture was conducted at Multifunctional Hall, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force today (19th October) on ‘Virusavi’ insurance package under the guidelines of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, Commandant, SLAVF.
The lecture was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel RMN Rathnayaka SLA, Staff Officer 1, Welfare Branch, Headquarters, SLAVF. He has covered the assortment of welfare benefits provided by the ‘Virusavi’ Insurance Package which were accorded to serving personnel of the Volunteer Force together with Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.
‘Virusavi’ Insurance Package is recognized as risk protection rewarded claims for the serving members of the volunteer force and their families.
During his lecture, he stated that the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation provides insurance benefits for the families of Volunteer Force for child birth, hospitalisation, outdoor medical treatments, surgeries and death under ‘Virusavi’ Insurance Package.
The lecture on training day got underway under the supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
Brigadier W G P Sisira Kumara RSP, Inspector of training SLAVF, officers and other ranks attended the lecture.
