A thematic lecture on “Anger Management” organized under the guidance of Major General U D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) got underway on 08 November at the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force in parallel to the Army training day programme which conducts every Wednesday.
The lecture, an intellectual event which addresses the mindset of troops of the SLAVF was conducted by Major D M Dilhara Sajeewani who has been performing duties as SO 3 (Publication) in the HQ SLAVF. The senior officer belongs to National Cadet Corps, is a professional military officer who obtained Master in Arts, Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling and Post Graduate Diploma in Education from University of Colombo.
During the lecture she explained that anger is a usual human emotion which should be controlled without dragging it to superfluous issues during work and personal relationships. Further, she indicated certain examples to imprint how anger management upgrades the eminence of person’s life.
The lecture was attended by officers and other ranks who serve at Headquarters SLAVF with the close supervision of Major General Thusitha Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF.
